The Islamic Demand and Truth of Partition: Unveiling History

Partition of India

Introduction

We’ve been taught that the partition was a British conspiracy. But is that the whole truth? No, it was a demand of the Muslim League, which imposed the two-nation theory and divided India with blood. Today, some say, “We loved India, but Nehru stopped the trains, so we stayed.” But the question arises—if there was love, why did 90% of Muslim votes support partition? This article uncovers the truth with facts, statements from Muslim leaders, historians’ books, and the views of Ambedkar and Patel. It also exposes the massacres—like Direct Action Day—carried out by Muslims.

The Pretense of “Everyone’s Blood in This Soil” and the Truth of Partition-

Muslims who today say “everyone’s blood is mixed in this soil” conveniently deny a bitter truth. Their forefathers voted 90% in favor of partition in 1946 (Reference: The Sole Spokesman, Ayesha Jalal, 1985, p. 172). The decision was clear: all Muslims would go to Pakistan, and Hindus would come to India. Undivided India had about 35 million Muslims. 90%—over 32 million—chose partition. Yet, shockingly, only 7.2 million went to Pakistan (Reference: 1951 Pakistan Census). That’s just 22%. Over 70% of those who voted for partition stayed back in India.

By the rules of partition, those who remained weren’t recognized as Indian citizens from 1947 to 1950. Their citizenship hung in limbo until the Nehru-Liaquat Pact (8 April 1950) granted it (Reference: The Text of Nehru-Liaquat Pact, 1950). These are the same Muslims whose ancestors decided to give Hindus “Hindustan” and take “Pakistan” for themselves. So how can they now claim rights over the very India they divided with blood and handed to Hindus?

Today, they pretend India belongs to them too. The truth is—they made India a Hindu nation with their 90% vote and now stake a claim on it. This historical fact can neither be denied nor buried. Let’s unmask the reality behind this hypocrisy.

Part 1: The Demand for Partition Was Muslim—Solid Evidence

In 1940, at the Lahore session, Jinnah said: “Hindus and Muslims are two distinct civilizations that can never unite.” (Reference: Jinnah’s Lahore Resolution, 23 March 1940). Historian Stanley Wolpert writes: “Jinnah fueled Muslim separatism.” (Jinnah of Pakistan, 1984, p. 182).

In 1946, the Muslim League won 86.6% of Muslim votes (Reference: The Sole Spokesman, Ayesha Jalal, 1985, p. 172). Chaudhry Rahmat Ali, who coined “Pakistan,” said in 1933: “Living with Hindus is an insult to Islam.” (Reference: Now or Never Pamphlet, 1933).

Historian R.C. Majumdar writes: “The Muslim League made partition inevitable.” (History of Freedom Movement in India, Vol. 3, 1963, p. 567). Maulana Azad opposed it, but the League crushed his voice with violence (Reference: Muslims Against Partition, Shamsul Islam, 2015, p. 45).

Part 2: Nehru’s Trains and the Lie of “Love”

“Nehru stopped the trains, so Muslims stayed”—this is an excuse. Before the 1950 Nehru-Liaquat Pact, 7.2 million Muslims went to Pakistan (Reference: 1951 Pakistan Census). Those who stayed did so out of compulsion—violence, poverty, or property they couldn’t sell in time.

Ambedkar writes: “90% of Muslims chose Pakistan. The claim of love is a sham.” (Pakistan or The Partition of India, 1946, p. 116). Patel said: “Muslims made their nation; now they must show loyalty here.” (Reference: Sardar Patel’s Correspondence, Vol. 6, 1948). Historian Yasmin Khan writes: “Staying was compulsion, not love.” (The Great Partition, 2007, p. 135). If there was love, why the slogan “We’ll take Pakistan by force”?

The partition was based on religion, and the Muslim League presented it as a separate nation for Islam.

Part 3: The Truth of a Hindu Nation—Created by Muslims

Partition made India Hindu-majority and Pakistan Muslim-majority. This was the Muslim League’s decision. Ambedkar writes: “The partition was religious. India is a Hindu nation—a result of Muslim demands.” (Pakistan or The Partition of India, p. 352). Patel said: “We got the Hindu part because Muslims took theirs.” (Reference: The Transfer of Power, Vol. 11, 3 June 1947). V.D. Savarkar wrote: “India belongs to Hindus—Muslims proved it by dividing it.” (Hindutva: Who is a Hindu?, 1923, p. 92).

Part 4: Massacres and Direct Action Day—The Bloodbath

16 August 1946, Direct Action Day. Muslim League’s slogan: “We’ll take Pakistan by force, play Holi with Hindu blood.” (Reference: Midnight’s Furies, Nisid Hajari, 2015, p. 43) And 90% of Muslims were voting for the person who raised this slogan. Was this love and brotherhood?. Over 5,000 Hindus died in Calcutta. William Dalrymple writes: “It was premeditated.” (The New Yorker, 2015). In Noakhali, Hindus were slaughtered—millions displaced, thousands killed (Reference: The Great Partition, p. 98). Jinnah said: “We must not fear blood.” (Reference: Jinnah’s speech, 1946, Jinnah Papers).

Part 5: Gandhi, Nehru, and the Citizenship Game

Gandhi appealed for unity and peace, but it had no legal basis. Ambedkar said: “Muslims staying in India contradicts the partition’s logic.” (Pakistan or The Partition of India, p. 330). Per the 1951 Census, 35 million Muslims remained in India, most of whom were already here.

The Nehru-Liaquat Pact (8 April 1950) states: “Both nations will grant citizenship and security to their minorities.” (Reference: The Text of Nehru-Liaquat Pact, 1950). Before this, Muslim citizenship was uncertain, but after the Constitution (26 January 1950), all residents became citizens. Patel urged Muslims to go to Pakistan (Reference: Sardar Patel’s Correspondence, Vol. 7, 1948). Nehru stopped this for vote-bank politics (Reference: India After Gandhi, Ramachandra Guha, 2007, p. 107).

Conclusion—A Sharp Strike of Truth

Partition wasn’t the British’s doing—it was the Muslim League’s demand, proven by 90% votes, Jinnah’s statements, and a blood-soaked history. Don’t peddle the “love” pretense—those who stayed did so out of compulsion. India is a Hindu nation because Muslims made it so in 1947—Ambedkar, Patel, and Savarkar all say it. Those who forget Direct Action Day’s blood now sing “everyone’s blood is in this soil.” The question is—where was this love when you divided it?

Nehru kept Muslims here for his own interests, though their citizenship was legally uncertain until 1950. The truth is bitter, but it can’t be veiled with lies. History screams—partition was Islam’s demand, and Hindus paid the price. Drop the pretense now and embrace one Constitution—one nation, one law.

Demanding separate laws is akin to demanding a separate piece again, just as your forefathers did in 1947.
