Creation of the Universe in Sanātana Philosophy

Nādaḥ sṛṣṭeḥ prathamaḥ śvāsaḥ,
Oṃkāraḥ tasya hṛdaya-spandanam.
Yatra maunaṃ paraṃ brahma bhavati,
Tatra vijñānaṃ api namraṃ tiṣṭhati.

Meaning –
Sound (Nāda) is the first breath of creation,
‘Om’ is its heartbeat.
Where silence itself becomes Bramha,
Even science bows down in humility.

Introduction: From Nāda to Bramha – The Bridge between Science and Vedānta

The Vedas proclaim; “Nādo’sya janmani kāraṇam”, that means Nāda, the primordial sound, is the first cause of creation, the unstruck vibration (Anāhata Spanda) through which consciousness took form and the cosmos unfolded.

Modern science, in its quest to unravel the mysteries of existence, has rediscovered the same truth; through Quantum Vibrations, the Higgs Field, and the pervasive Cosmic Energy that binds all creation.

Vedānta describes “Om” as the audible expression of Bramha, while science identifies it with the universe’s first resonance, the Cosmic Background Vibration.

This work, “From Nāda to Bramha,” is a journey across that bridge where the meditative insight of the seers meets the analytical vision of modern physics, revealing a unified truth:
that the origin of creation lies not in matter, but in the vibration of consciousness itself.

This is not a religious exposition, but a holistic exploration of Energy, Consciousness, and Existence. Where “Om” aligns with the principles of physics, where Shiva’s Tāṇḍava becomes the Quantum Dance, and where human consciousness reflects the resonance of the cosmos.

Let us explore the ancient Indian philosophy of creation in the light of modern scientific understanding.
